The fully digital document original is pre-integrated with Finastra Trade Innovation’s guarantees workflow.Both users and recipients can keep their existing systems and processes, while dramatically reducing the cost and the risks associated with handling paper. Enigio’s trace:original also enables easier expansion to new technologies (e.g. AI-based innovation).

Traditional trade processing is heavily dependent on paper, in recent efforts to be ‘greener’ , many are moving away from physical documents , searching for more automated, efficient processes that are moreprotected from the risk of fraud. This move has been accelerated by the pandemic, withincreasing demand for digital processes and expectations that customers cando everything remotely. Moving from a paper based to a digitalized process can be deemed to be expensive and time-consuming ,however trace:original provides a fully integrated workflow that can replace the entire paper lifecycle.

How it works

Enigio’s trace:original creates a special type of digital document that has similar attributes to paper and can therefore legally replace paper documents, especially where physical original documents are a legal requirement (e.g. guarantees).

A robust document

The system creates unique, identifiable documents that can be distinguished from copies and have a digitally verifiable owner. By creating immutable documents, content cannot be manipulated by anyone, including both the current owner.

User-friendly

Documents have a familiar look and feel to a PDF document and are easy to process.

Easy to handle

Documents are freely transferrable to anyone (regardless of system access or system licenses) simply by sending the file to a specific digital address.

Security-first

A digital public notary service (based on a cryptographic ledger / blockchain) secures an anonymous secure audit trail for the document. All business data contained within the document is maintained only in the file – the ledger contains cryptographic information that can be used for validating the file. This means that no business data is stored anywhere else but the file and can be stored in the owner’s chosen location.
